Mushroom Goulash
 
     
     

 

Mushroom goulash is a vegetarian dish made with mixed mushrooms,
either picked or bought fresh in the produce store.  If you plan on picking your own,

Clean the mushrooms and cut into pieces.  Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes;  they should fall apart during cooking and give the sauce a creamy consistency.  Heat the butter/oil and sauté the onions.  Stir in the flour and paprika and add a bit of water.  Add the rest of the ingredients and add just enough water to cover the stew.  Cook uncovered at medium heat for about 45 minutes.  Season to taste.  Serve with white bread, sour cream and peperoni/chili peppers.
